Digital Art

Dispersion Portrait
Dispersion Portrait: Self portrait using dispersion technique in Photoshop. I was thinking of the film "Ex Machina" when I was creating this and wanted the image to look part human, part digital.

Animated GIF
For this animated GIF I used three images - the car, the moon, the road, and the city backdrop. I wanted to show the car stopping long enough to see the moon rise in the sky.

Moonlight Dance
The goal was to create a surreal composite image. At first, I made this image a little more realistic looking, with a dark, starry sky and colorized version of the couple. Then I decided to add the sunset to the background and sparkles to the grass so the whole palette had more of a “midnight sun” kind of vibe, with the couple dancing alone but together on a strange planet.

Meet the Sunrise
I used some layering with a swirl pattern and added a few different textures over this image to create this look.

Twiggy in Pink
The goal of this drawing was to do a portrait of the 60s model Twiggy in a less photo-realistic manner. I really enjoy some of the comic book art I see on Instagram and I!ve been working on how to do a portrait with minimal details that still shows the subject's essence. I did the initial drawing in Adobe Fresco and completed it in Photoshop.

Event Poster
This event poster advertising an MGMT concert in Sacramento was created for a class project. I decided to show the band beaming down onto the roof of the Citizen Hotel to help illustrate their more psychedelic style of music. I feel like I really stretched myself on this project and was happy with the outcome.
